I grew up an "Army brat" and am now a proud Army wife. I've lived all over the world and that has helped shape the person I am now. I have three gorgeous daughters that I frequently use as photography subjects.
I have always taken enjoyment in snapping photos, but what started out as a hobby began to take shape as more when my husband gave me my first DSLR camera for our anniversary in 2009. I couldn't take enough pictures and since we had just moved to gorgeous Hawaii I had plenty of beautiful scenery to photograph. I met another local photographer who provided me with pointers and let me follow her on photo shoots. I quickly signed up for classes, read all the magazines and books I could get my hands on, and practiced, practiced, practiced.
Eventually my friends and family saw my work and encouraged me to start taking pictures professionally...and the rest is history...

My philosophy or "style" of photography is simple. I want to capture who YOU are. During our session I will do more than pose you and ask you to "just say cheese". I will observe you and your family and try to capture those special smiles and interactions between one another. Having photos done should be fun, so we will laugh, jump and play during our session!
I recently got lucky enough to do a photo shoot for Hawaii Parent Magazine. My photos will be featured in the August 2010 issue, so be on the lookout for the article by Nicole Hempeck about "Giving Into The Minivan".
